At the 2,600–3,000 boxed-cigar level, a Humidor Supreme 9000 costs $3,549 and a Raching MON5800A costs $4,799. In return for the extra $1,250, the Raching gives you water cooling, a humidity rating of ±1%, and a 2-year cabinet and 6-year compressor warranty, against 1 year for Humidor Supreme. Boxed figures use the low end of each manufacturer's range. At the small end the two brands cost about the same. At the 2,600–3,000 level, Humidor Supreme gives you more for less.
Humidity control: the real difference
Humidor Supreme uses a compressor and pauses cooling for 5 minutes after each degree, so humidity can settle. An air circulator fan keeps the shelves even. Raching places the evaporator in water and says that avoids a dry, frosty coil. It rates the MON series at ±1%.
Neither figure has been independently tested, as far as we know. Owners do report that Raching displays can read about 2% high, so the number on the screen and the true number aren't always the same. Warranty and support
This is Raching's clearest advantage. Six years on the compressor is long for this category, because many complaints about electric humidors involve units that fail after the warranty ends. The Raching warranty applies through an authorized US dealer, and owners report that factory support can be slow, so who you buy from matters.
Humidor Supreme lists a 1-year manufacturer warranty. It comes through Quality Importers, a long-established US distributor. With either brand, you call us and we deal with the manufacturer. We also add our 30-Day Humidity Promise and Freight Damage Promise.
Reputation
Raching has a track record with collectors, and forum owners describe it as a top-end option. Humidor Supreme's electronic line is newer to independent reviewers, and we've found very few owner reviews so far. That doesn't mean it's weaker, only that there's less evidence either way. If independent owner reports are what give you confidence, Raching has more of them today.
Size, weight and delivery
Measure before you choose. The Humidor Supreme 9000 is the narrower cabinet, at 22⅜" wide by 27" deep, so it fits an alcove or a spot beside a desk. The Raching MON5800A is 27.2" wide by 27.6" deep. That's 5 inches more width for similar boxed capacity. The waist-high pair is close: the 9100 is 24¼" wide and the MON1800A is 23.6".
These are heavy cabinets. The MON2800A weighs 198 lb, the MON5800A 289 lb, and the 9200 ships at about 325 lb, so plan for two or more people and check every doorway on the route. Both brands arrive by freight or a carrier we arrange at no charge to you. The damage process differs a little. On Humidor Supreme, note any damage on the delivery receipt. Living with each cabinet
Daily use is similar. You set a temperature and humidity, top up with water when needed, and check a hygrometer. The Humidor Supreme manual asks you to clean the humidity system every two months, clean the radiator twice a year and renew the carbon filter yearly. Raching owners should plan on the same habits and, on the first day, compare the display with a separate hygrometer so they know how far it reads high.

- Waist-high cabinet: the 9100 and MON1800A cost about the same. The 9100 lists higher capacity, and the MON has the longer warranty.
- Wider temperature setting: Humidor Supreme, at 40–72°F against 61–72°F. Most people keep cigars at 65–70°F, so this rarely matters.
