How to choose a humidor for a large collection

Start with three questions: how many cigars you keep, where the humidor will live, and whether you need display or storage.

Up to about 1,500 cigars: a waist-high electronic humidor such as the Humidor Supreme 9100.
2,000 to 5,000 cigars: a tall electronic humidor (Humidor Supreme 9000) or a cabinet humidor with a Hydra humidifier.
Over 3,000 cigars, or two climates: the two-zone Humidor Supreme 9200.
Selling cigars or running a lounge: see commercial display humidors and cigar lockers.

Electronic or traditional?

Electronic humidors cool and humidify to the levels you set, which matters in warm rooms and climates. Traditional cabinets rely on the room's temperature and need a humidifier such as a Hydra; they cost less for the same capacity and suit climate-controlled rooms.

Guides: Electric vs traditional cabinet humidors · Humidor Supreme 9100 vs 9000 vs 9200.

Frequently asked questions

How many cigars does a humidor really hold?
Ratings assume smaller cigars stored loose. If you store mostly boxes or large ring gauges, plan on the lower end of the range.

Do large humidors ship free?
Yes. Large humidors ship free by freight with liftgate delivery; the carrier schedules a delivery window with you.

Can you help me choose?
Yes. Call (985) 531-8513 with your collection size and the room, and we will recommend a model.
