3. Zones. One zone suits most people. Two zones let you age and smoke, or separate wrapper types, at different settings.

Price per cigar: what you actually pay for storage

On paper the Yohtron YC-448 is the cheapest storage per cigar, with the Humidor Supreme 9000 close behind. Two-zone cabinets (the 9200 and Raching MON3800A) cost more per cigar; the second climate is what you pay for. The Raching MON2800A is the most expensive per cigar but is sold on its ±1% humidity precision and ammonia-removal filter.

Humidor Supreme: large capacity from a long-established US importer

Humidor Supreme is the electronic line from Quality Importers, which has supplied humidors to US cigar shops for decades. The three models are built around large capacity and simple controls. Raching's MON series emphasizes tight humidity control (published at ±1% RH) and an ammonia-removal filter (NANOO), useful for collectors who store young cigars that still release ammonia. The range runs from 500 to 2,500 cigars, with a two-zone 1,800-cigar model. For the price, capacity is lower than Humidor Supreme's at each step, so it suits collectors who value the extras over raw space.

Yohtron: the value pick

Yohtron's YC-448 offers 2,300 cigars for $2,999 with active humidity control (published at ±2% RH), the lowest cost per cigar here. If budget per cigar is the priority and you're comfortable with the brand's support arrangements, it's worth a look.

What about NewAir and Whynter?

NewAir and Whynter are best known for smaller "cigar coolers" (around 250–840 cigars), many of them thermoelectric with passive or basic humidity control. Are electric humidors worth it?
