Electric or passive: which Prestige humidor do you need?

Electric cabinets (Redford, Remington, Reagan) cool, heat, humidify and dehumidify on their own, so they hold your settings whatever the room does. Choose one if the room gets warmer than about 72°F or swings with the seasons. The Lite versions are simplified editions of the same cabinets at a lower price. The Reagan has two sides with independent controls, so you can keep two climates.

Passive display cabinets (Saint Regis, Bermuda, Barbatus, Spartacus) use built-in humidifiers you refill with distilled water or humidor solution. They cost less per cigar and suit an air-conditioned room. In a big cabinet that's opened often, many owners add an electronic humidifier through the rear wire port; see which Hydra fits.

Frequently asked questions

Are Prestige humidors in stock?
The display cabinets, end tables and countertop models above are generally in stock. Electric cabinets mostly arrive on incoming containers (mid-November and mid-December 2026). We confirm the lead time within one business day of your order, or call before you buy.

What is the difference between Redford and Redford Lite?
The Lite is a simplified version of the same cabinet at a lower price. Call us and we will explain the differences for the model you are considering.

Do Prestige passive cabinets need an electronic humidifier?
Not always. In a cool room with the door opened a few times a week, the built-in humidifiers are enough. In a busy shop, lounge or warm room, an electronic humidifier holds humidity automatically.

How are Prestige cabinets delivered?
Free freight delivery, scheduled with you by the carrier. Countertop models ship by parcel, free over $199. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and we handle the claim at no cost to you.

Can I return a Prestige humidor?
Contact us within 10 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by the customer and a manufacturer restocking fee may apply; we confirm the exact cost first. See Returns & Refunds.
