Humidor Supreme makes three electronic humidors: the 9100 (1,000–1,600 cigars), the 9000 (2,600–4,500) and the 9200 (3,700–6,800, two climate zones). All three cool and humidify on their own, use Spanish cedar shelving and a digital controller, and carry a one-year manufacturer warranty. The real differences are capacity, footprint, and whether you get one climate or two. Here's how to pick the right one the first time.
Which Humidor Supreme should you buy?
- Under about 1,500 cigars, or limited space: the 9100. Waist-high, 1,000–1,600 cigars.
- 2,000 to 4,000 cigars in a narrow spot: the 9000. Under 23 inches wide, 2,600–4,500 cigars.
- Over 3,000 cigars, or you want two separate climates: the 9200. Two complete zones, 3,700–6,800 cigars.

How to read the capacity numbers
Capacity ratings assume smaller cigars stored loose. Real capacity depends on what you buy. Two rules of thumb we give customers:
- If you buy by the box, plan on the bottom of the range. Boxes waste space around the cigars, and the shelves are sized for boxes.
- Leave room to grow. Most collectors fill a humidor faster than they expect. If you're at 1,200 cigars today and still buying, the 9100 will be full within a year.
A box usually holds 20–25 cigars, so the 9100's low end of 1,000 is roughly 40–50 boxes' worth of cigars, but fewer boxes in practice once you count the box walls and lids.
Humidor Supreme 9100: the first climate-controlled step

The 9100 is for collectors moving up from desktop humidors or a converted wine cooler. At 49 ⅜ inches high it sits at about waist height, so it fits under a window, beside a desk or in a den without looking like an appliance. Three box shelves and one drawer suit a collector who keeps a few dozen boxes and a rotation of singles.
Choose it if you keep up to about 1,500 cigars and want climate control without giving up a wall. Skip it if you're already near 1,500 and buying regularly.
Humidor Supreme 9000: big capacity, small footprint

The 9000 solves a common problem: you need thousands of cigars of storage but only have a narrow space. It's under 23 inches wide and just over six feet tall. Four box shelves and two drawers handle a large personal collection, and an optional two-shelf kit (HS-9000-SH) adds box space.
Choose it if you keep 2,000 or more cigars and have a tall, narrow spot. Skip it if you want separate climates for different cigars.
Humidor Supreme 9200: two humidors in one cabinet

The 9200 is effectively two electronic humidors side by side. Each half has its own compressor, fan and digital controller. The left side is set up with shelves for long-term aging, the right with drawers and shelves for the cigars you're smoking now. Opening one side doesn't disturb the other.
Ways collectors use two zones:
- Aging vs smoking: long-term boxes at a steady, slightly lower humidity; the everyday side set to how you like them to smoke.
- By wrapper or country: some smokers keep Cuban and non-Cuban cigars, or light and dark wrappers, apart.
- Storage vs display: one side as tidy box storage, the other as a lit display for guests.
Choose it if you keep 3,000 or more cigars, want two climates, or are replacing a traditional cabinet that can't hold temperature in summer. Skip it if one zone is all you need, since the 9000 holds a similar number of cigars in a narrower cabinet for less.
Price per cigar
Bigger humidors cost less per cigar stored. Using our current prices and the bottom of each capacity range (the realistic number if you store boxes): the 9100 works out to roughly $2.90 per cigar, the 9000 about $1.40, and the 9200 about $1.90, with the 9200's premium paying for the second climate zone. Electronic humidor vs a wineador or a traditional cabinet
A wineador is a wine cooler converted for cigars. It's cheaper, but it isn't built for cigars: you add your own cedar and humidification, and many coolers dry the air as they cool. A traditional cabinet holds humidity with a humidifier but can't cool, so it follows your room's temperature. An electronic Humidor Supreme is built for cigars from the start: Spanish cedar inside, plus both cooling and humidity control. Settings: temperature and humidity
The common target is 65–70°F and 65–72% relative humidity; Cigar Aficionado gives the same 65–72% range. Stay below about 72°F and 72% to keep tobacco beetles from hatching (Cigar Inspector). On a 9200, many collectors run the aging side around 65% and the smoking side a little higher or lower to taste.
Delivery, placement and setup
- Freight delivery is free. All three ship on a pallet with liftgate delivery to your curb or driveway. The carrier calls to schedule a window.
- Measure your route first. The 9200 is nearly 39 inches wide and the 9000 is over six feet tall. Check doorways, stairs and turns, and plan for two or more people.
- Inspect before you sign. Note any crate damage on the delivery receipt; that note lets us handle a freight claim for you.
- Give it breathing room. Compressors need airflow. Leave space around the cabinet as the manual specifies, away from direct sun and heat sources.
- Let it settle. Stand the cabinet upright for a day before switching it on, fill the reservoir with distilled water, and run it empty for 24–48 hours before loading cigars. Our setup and seasoning guide covers the rest.
Frequently asked questions
Do any of them need a water line?
No. All three use a refillable reservoir and plug into a standard outlet.
What should I set them to?
Most collectors keep cigars around 65–70°F and 65–72% humidity.
Are they loud?
They use low-noise, low-vibration compressors. Like any cooled cabinet, you'll hear them cycle on and off in a quiet room.
Is the 9200 worth it over the 9000?
Only if you'll use two climates or need the extra shelf space. For one climate, the 9000 stores a similar number of cigars for much less.
Can you help me decide?
Yes. Call (985) 531-8513 with your collection size and the room, and we'll tell you honestly which model fits.
