This humidor: about 600 cigars in boxes, or 800 mixed singles (label: 1,000).

Labels assume corona-size cigars stored loose. Bigger cigars and boxes take more room.

  • In boxes: we use the manufacturer's low end, or about 60% of the label.
  • Mixed singles: we use the middle of their range, or about 80%.

It's an estimate; your number depends on what you smoke. A simple rule: buy about twice the capacity you need today.

This cabinet uses built-in passive humidifiers, which you refill with distilled water or humidor solution. In a cabinet this size, humidity drops faster as the doors are opened, so many owners add an electronic humidifier, plugged in through the hidden rear wire port, to hold a set point automatically.
