How we estimate real capacity

This humidor: about 200 mixed singles (label: 250).

Labels assume corona-size cigars stored loose. Bigger cigars and boxes take more room.

  • In boxes: we use the manufacturer's low end, or about 60% of the label.
  • Mixed singles: we use the middle of their range, or about 80%.

It's an estimate; your number depends on what you smoke. A simple rule: buy about twice the capacity you need today.

A small electric humidor that cools as well as humidifies

The Prestige Clevelander is a 250-cigar electric "cigar cooler" cabinet in stainless steel with a tempered glass door. A thermoelectric system holds the temperature you set, so it suits rooms that get too warm for a traditional humidor. Questions? Call (985) 531-8513.

  • Thermoelectric temperature control, adjustable 51–64°F

Why temperature matters

Above about 72°F tobacco beetle eggs can hatch. A traditional humidor follows the room; the Clevelander keeps cigars cooler. Like any thermoelectric unit, it cools only so far below the room, so keep it out of hot garages. See wineador vs humidor vs electric humidor.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

A good fit if you keep up to 250 cigars in a warm home or office. Consider the Redford Lite or Humidor Supreme 9100 for larger collections.
