More air changes per hour for bigger or busier cigar rooms
The T700 is Airpura's upgraded tobacco smoke purifier, a smoke eater for bigger rooms. It moves up to 635 cubic feet per minute, about 13% more air than the T600, through carbon filtration designed for the gases and odors in tobacco smoke. More airflow means more complete air changes every hour, which is what clears a room where several people are smoking.

How many units do you need?
Worked example: a 20 x 25 ft room with a 9 ft ceiling holds 4,500 cubic feet. At its maximum 635 CFM, one unit moves 38,100 cubic feet an hour, or about 8.5 air changes per hour. Plan for at least 6 air changes per hour, and more for busy lounges; larger or busier rooms use two units.
Airpura rates it for 2,500 sq ft at 2 air changes an hour. For cigar smoke we plan on at least 6. At that rate, one T700 covers about 790 sq ft with 8-foot ceilings. That uses its maximum airflow, so treat it as the most one unit can do. Call us and we'll do the math for your room.

Who it's for, and who it isn't
A good fit if you run a cigar lounge or bar, or several people smoke in your cigar room at once.
Consider another model if it's a smaller private room (the Airpura T600).
A purifier, exhaust, or both?
A purifier is best at clearing lingering smoke and odor between and after sessions. In a lounge where several people smoke at once, exhaust ventilation removes the live smoke and the purifier handles what remains. How is it different from the T600?
It moves up to 635 CFM versus 560 CFM, so it completes more air changes per hour in the same room.
How many do I need for a lounge?
Divide your room volume into the unit's hourly airflow to get air changes per hour; plan for at least 6, and more for busy lounges. Call us and we'll do it with you.
How do filters work?
Plan on about $230 a year, plus Tar Barriers. The 3-inch carbon filter is $320 and lasts about 2 years. The HEPA Barrier is $70 a year. Tar Barriers last 6–12 months; call us for those. Smoke every day and the carbon goes sooner. See our Airpura replacement filters.
