Airpura 20-Watt Ultraviolet Bulb
The Airpura Replacement UV Germicidal Lamp provides the potent dose needed to kill any type of biological antigens, pathogens, and mold spores that enter the air purifier without emitting ozone. This powerful 20-watt UV lamp is rated at 30,000-microwatt sec/cm2 and is highly reactive to the Titanium Dioxide coating in the surface of the HEPA filter or TitanClear reflector to accelerate the destruction of germs, bacteria, and viruses.
Works with the Airpura UV600, P600, and P600+ air filtration systems, this ultraviolet lamp is placed in the pressure-sealed filter chamber killing microorganisms as they are trapped by the filters. Other UV air cleaners put the lamp in the airflow away from the filters, allowing microbes to escape back into the air.
The Airpura UV germicidal lamp is ideal for individuals who live or work in environments with high exposure to harmful microorganisms, people with low immune resistance, as well as those with a moldy basement. The ultraviolet feature may be switched on or off as desired via the air purifier’s control panel. There is also a warning light that indicates the status of the UV lamp. The 20-watt bulb can operate up to 10,000 hours or approximately 14 months of use before it needs to be replaced.
