Built for heavy smoke

Three stages in the order smoke needs them: a poly prefilter catches large particles and protects the main filter, a MERV-13 particle filter traps fine smoke particles, and 38 lb (2 × 19 lb) of Super-Gas activated carbon removes the odor, fumes and VOCs. Airpura's pressure seal and felt gaskets keep air from slipping around the filters, the housing is all metal, and the motor sits out of the clean airflow.

Capture at the source

Airpura designs the 900 series as a fume extractor: place it where smoke is produced, or attach a hose or the optional industrial extraction arm to pull smoke from the breathing zone. In a lounge, that means near the seating where people smoke most.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

A good fit if you run a busy lounge or bar where many people smoke for hours, and you want the longest time between filter changes. Consider the Airpura 900 for smaller rooms.

• Airpura 900 MAX filter bundle (4 prefilters + 2 carbon + 2 particle filters): $1,039.98 (regular $1,219.98).

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the T600 or T700?
The T series are room air purifiers for homes and smaller cigar rooms. The 900 series moves up to 850 CFM free flow (650 with filters) through bigger filters, and is designed to capture smoke at the source in commercial spaces.

How many do I need for a lounge?
It depends on room volume and how many people smoke at once. Use our ventilation and smoke-eater sizing guide, or call us with your room size.

Does it replace ventilation?
No. Codes may require exhaust or ventilation for smoking rooms; air purifiers clean the air you recirculate. Most lounges use both.
