Which Hydra do you need?

Choose by the inside volume of your humidor. Measure the inside width, depth and height in inches and divide by 1,728 for cubic feet.

  • Hydra SM: up to about 8 cu ft, roughly 1,000 cigars. Desktop-to-small cabinets.
  • Hydra LG: up to about 16 cu ft, roughly 2,500 cigars. Most cabinets and towers.
  • Hydra Turbo: lockers, large display cabinets and walk-ins.

Frequently asked questions

What water does a Hydra use?
Distilled water only. Tap water leaves mineral deposits and can affect the sensor.

Can a Hydra lower humidity?
No. It adds humidity when readings fall below your setting. If humidity runs high, reduce or remove other humidity sources.

Does it need power?
Yes, a standard outlet. Many cabinets have an interior outlet for it.
